Grilled Marinated Pork with Jamaican Spices

Ingredients:
  • 3/4 C chopped onion
  • 3/4 C chopped green onion
  • 1/2 C olive oil
  • 1/4 C orange juice
  • 1/4 C soy sauce
  • 2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbs. fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 Tbs. minced peeled fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 Scotch bonnet pepper or 1/2 serrano chili
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 12-ounce pork tenderloins, cut into half crosswise
Instructions:

Combine all ingredients except pork in processor and puree until smooth. Put pork and marinade in a plastic bag and chill for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Prepare barbecue (medium-high heat). Remove pork from marinade. Grill pork until thermometer inserted into thickest part registers 155, turning occasionally, about 15 minutes. Transfer to cutting board and cut into 1-inch slices. Serve hot.
